Why Training Workshops Are Essential for Young Doctors

In today’s fast-evolving medical field, continuous learning is critical. Dr. Bhaskar Rao, CMD of KIMS Group of Hospitals, emphasized the importance of training workshops and academic conferences in shaping skilled and confident young doctors.

At the international conference Vascular Voyages – Fem Pop: Mystery to Mastery,” experts from across the globe came together to share knowledge, discuss advanced treatment techniques, and provide hands-on training in vascular and endovascular procedures.

Dr. Narendranadh Meda, Organising Chairman and Clinical Director of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery at KIMS, highlighted the growing burden of peripheral vascular diseases. He noted that conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, smoking, and sedentary lifestyles are leading causes, often resulting in reduced blood flow to the legs, pain while walking, and non-healing wounds. If left untreated, severe cases may even require amputation.

Such platforms offer more than just theoretical insights—they provide real-world exposure through live demonstrations, case-based discussions, and simulation training, helping doctors stay updated with modern technologies and improve patient outcomes.

Investing in continuous medical education is not just about professional growth—it’s about delivering better, safer, and more effective patient care.
